Socialist economic systems take the power of choice away from individuals and place that power to choose in the hands of governing officials and bureaucrats. What does that look like in everyday life? Take social media for example; do you have a right to speak with whom you choose online? Not in China you don't.

Did you catch that phrase? The Chinese government expects citizens to, "...persist in...serving socialism...."
People who live in countries with socialist economies are meant to "serve socialism." Think about that the next time someone tries to tell you that socialism is better than a free market economic system.
